So ever since I signed up to myspace I have gotten in touch with tons of old friends from where I use to live. Like this one guy. He was the red head mexican at the Catholic school I went to. I was the handful of asians at the school sometimes the only one. So I guess we were both different from everyone, but we had so much in common. He was always making me laugh and we enjoyed rap,hip hop and r&b music. Growing up in the 80s and 90s that type of music wasn't so popular and esp in my mostly all white private catholic school it was not the thing to listen to. I just remember getting that question/statement all the time

"You listen to RAP music? Yuck"
I have to say my neighbors pretty much brought me up, they were from Grenada and calypso,Bob Marley, Public Enemy, Al B Sure, New Edition, Salt n Pepa, Fat Boyz, Samantha Fox just to name a few was played non stop when they babysat me. I remember they taught me how to dance. I wonder if you can teach rhythm at such a young age at 4 or you just have it like that. My mom said I was always dancing before I met them. There are numerous pictures of me at 2-4 holding up my Michael Jackson record and the small record player they bought me. I remember watching MTV all day till it came off the air for the night time.

Anyways back to the subject. Getting in touch with him and others has made me laugh again. I swear we all have the same sense of humor and man that is so hard for me to find. That is very important for me. Its like a priority. I went on the forum and got the dates to the high school reunion from my 9th and 10th grade year. I can't wait. I know its only one weekend but I know its gonna be full of laughs and good times with people I grew up with and who have made an impact on my life...I didn't know it then but I realize it now...
