I know I haven't blogged in awhile ...i was running on the treadmill at the Y watching CNN and fox news.. They were talking about Farah passing then it went straight to reporting that Michael Jackson had been rushed to the hospital.... Got home 40 mins later my best friend text that he passed... I had to work that night and I didn't want to.. I was mad I didn't see him in concert!! I went to work and teared up in the car.. Watched CNN here and there... Went to my moms that morning and she pulled out my Thriller album that I got when I was 3!! My first music I owned.. My mom said I played the shit out of it and the cover was worn out.. I'll scan my pics of me when I was younger with my Thriller album... rest in paradise Michael I loved ur moves so smooth and ur soothing voice in the song Ben and Human Nature

I'm pulling out all these expensive unused makeup products I've bought
but only used once. I'm slowly learning about makeup and it's many
used and applications...using Youtube I've learned how to put on fake
eyelashes the easiest and fastest way possible. I've learned how to
blend with my finger..how to apply gel eyeliner..and how to curl
hair...I know I'm becoming those girls but it's fun and in my 20s it
was all about the least makeup possible and partying but now it's the
same but looking good partying

Jacksonville Film Fest 2009

I went to check out the film fest last Thursday and Friday. We were
able to attend the opening night at a local night club called the
Ivy. The
Jacksonville Cullinary Institute catered the event and it was open
bar. Open bar u know my ass took advantage of it. Unfortunately by the
time we watched the movie I fell asleep and shored as per the boyfriend.

The next night we watched a film called Hunger. It was the first time
it premiered. I was starving prior to the movie but after that I lost
all appetite. This movie had 5 strangers starving and eating off
eachother. To intense. Anyways post more later Gooo lakers!!

St. Pattys Day 10k

so Ive been staying in a lot

saving money

cutting back on the alcohol

haven't really eaten out in forever

took up cooking

like really cooking some shit

I had to redeem my self from my yearly Gate River Run

6 miles on a Sunday after St pattys Day

it was like 59 degrees

I was cold

got ready to run till I found out I left my Nike Sensor in the car

I kept a 10:20 min pace

finished 6 miles in 1 hour and 4 mins

beat my time when I ran 5 miles for the Ortega Run in Feb

I did that in 1 hour 12 mins

huge difference

my goal is at least a 9 min pace or even 8:30 would be dope

I guess I have all this emotion I've been keeping in for so long

I haven't been able to release it in a healthy way

exercise use to be my therapy

well now its back

and I'm never going back to they way I use to release it

I guess all these emotions I have are released into energy and I'm

thankful that I'm healthy enough to do it

everytime I finish I run into my old friend

i got my worst time this year
i ran the whole time at a 10 min pace
but i got to the last mile the Hart Bridge
and had to walk it

honestly thinking back i didn't carb up enough

cause my pt was a one to one and ended up

which is always hard
cause everyone and their mama is at a party
with their friends and family

to busy to eat anything

i think spending the last day or hours with someone before they die
is an honor
i was able to hear all her memories about her past
her views on the future
and some advice on life
i came back to work
she took a turn for the worse
and within hours
she was gone
i hugged her daughter
knowing the night before i allowed her to play a video
for her mom of her dog that she missed so much
i told her daughter how her mom loved truck driving
through northern california, washington, oregon and montana
i told her daughter how much she loved and gushed over obama
deaths in the icu usually easy on me
but when they are talking and not on any sedation
just waiting for a decision on treatment
and nothing was done yet and they pass
like this case
and being the holidays
made me very sad
i can't imagine losing my mother during the holidays
making decisions
calling friends and family members with the news
i watched her daughter frantically call everyone late at nite
i dont ever wanna go through that

so i decided that 2009 is gonna be a fresh year with accomplishments
gonna tell my mom and sister i love them
every chance i get
cause you never know

i do feel like shit cause my last two patients passed
one was old
the other so young
please please wear your helmet on a motorcycle bike
ironically the lady who pushed to pass the law for no helmets in florida
died two weeks later after it passed
she died on her motorcycle and would've lived if she wore her helmet

i know its been awhile
been working overtime the past few weeks

i recently bought a sunday paper just to look

as for traveling
well i signed up for classes
i did my two years in trauma surgical icu

i feel like a nurse practioner telling these young residents what to do
i feel like a crna pushing drugs to patients while doing surgical procedures
i fckin do it for 12 hours while wiping ass for cash
but am i gettin paid like them

so i'm going back to school
i'm tired
its stressful
and i don't wanna be there for ten years or more like my coworkers
i'm ready for 2009
start fresh
make a change
ready to change
get my shit together
my year for accomplishments
i realized that i'm never gonna get my dream house
dream car
ect...with an extra income from a husband
so i gotta get off that crazy notion and go back
to remembering to be that single independant women i was
really not lookin forward to chrismas

gotta get my baking skills in order

so i've been interested in trying different types of soda

from different countries

getting tired with the whole beer thing

so i grabbed this lil bottle at World Market

it's called Ramune

When I finally decided to drink this I ripped off the seal

than the top cap came off

than i got extremely confused

i wish i recorded myself trying to open it further

so i you tubed it

naturally there were a few people who demonstrated how to open this soda

i finally opened it

pushing the plunger onto the marble was pretty exciting for me

than it was pure carbonated lychee

woop woop

so i wiki it and here are some things i learned
